Melbourne Young Celebrant

- A modern take
- A writing background which will see me delve a little deeper for the juicy/interesting bits of your relationship and history together
- A chilled, relaxed energy. You’ve got more than enough to stress about for this day. I won’t be one of those stresses.
- Over a decade of events experience for you to draw on

I’m half Aussie, half Pacific islander (Kiribati)

I worked as a club DJ around Melbourne for 10 years spinning hiphop, funk, disco, house, breakbeat, techno and more

I met my wife (Ang) on a dancefloor of an infamous Melbourne nightclub back in 2004 (as seen on my home page here)

I’m a bit of a health and fitness nut

I’ve been happily married since 2006 when we got married on Brighton Beach

I am addicted to sneakers, with a collection rapidly heading to 100
Whenever I eat out the first thing I look for on the menu is a parma.
Fatboy Slim, Axwell, Naughty by Nature, Groove Armada, Hilltop Hoods, De La Soul, Grandmaster Flash, DJ Sneak, Duck Sauce – these are just some of the artists I’ve interviewed over the past decade as a freelance music journo

I was featured as a DJ on the rise on Triple J back in 2007
I have 3 beautiful children – Lilah (3) and Coby and Siella (twin 18 month olds) who keep me on my toes

The Simple Process
Give me a buzz
- We’ll chat
- We’ll sort a time to meet face to face
We’ll meet
- You can see if I look anything like the pictures on my site
- You and your partner can fire a heap of curly questions at me
Lets do this
- Book me in for your date
- I’ll look after all the paperwork and legals
- We’ll plug in 1 more appointment and a rehearsal
- I’ll be available anytime by phone and email
- I’ll write you a killer ceremony that your friends and family will comment on for years to come
You get married
- I’ll deliver said killer ceremony
- You guys live happily ever after
- I’ll finish off all of the boring legal stuff

Ok so some serious stuff you should know about…
Legally, you need to complete a Notice of Intended Marriage at least 1 month prior to the wedding, and it needs to be witnessed/signed by an authorised celebrant. You can view/download the form here. http://www.bdm.vic.gov.au/: Lots of other legal marriage stuff to be found here, including how to change your name if that tickles your fancy. http://www.relationships.org.au/: Need someone to talk you both through some stuff? Whenever I get asked if I think wedding video is important, I always say the same thing: My kids LOVE watching our wedding video; its like a time capsule for them. You won’t regret including this line item in your wedding budget, most especially if you chat to Lochlan at Tango Films. Proper film-making skills, with all the feels – http://www.tangofilms.com.au/
DJs:
I’m a former DJ myself…don’t underestimate what a quality DJ can do for a party. These dudes are old mates of mine, and I reckon they are the best wedding DJs in Melbourne. Proper club skilled DJs who bring mixing and programming skills to your party to ensure everyone from your best mates to your aunt Bev have big smiles and sore feet all night…
